		<description>Kristen - You&#039;re so right about the accountability issue.  At this point no one believes his protestations, and he only makes himself look worse by continuing to lie about it.  He&#039;d be much better off just to come out and offer a huge mea culpa and the apology that all his family, friends, and fans deserve.</description>

		<description>Really interesting perspective on this story, Gale. I am an avid pro cycling fan and so these have been dark days for me, even though I&#039;ve suspected for a long time that none of these riders were clean during the US Postal heyday. What troubles me now about Armstrong isn&#039;t so much that he doped - I saw on the BBC today that 20 out of 21 (!) podium finishers during Lance&#039;s reign have been connected to doping - it&#039;s that he continues to deny wrong-doing, instead blaming everyone else and conflating his prosecution with a witch hunt. In my opinion, the best thing he could do for his kids, whom you are very good to consider, is to fess up and model for them what penance looks like.</description>
